In Memoriam: Paul Levi

For all those who have not yet heard - Paul Levi unfortunately died on 5th August 2008.

A memorial service was held for him at the German Protestant Church in Knightsbridge, on 17th November, with a wake afterwards at the National Gallery. Both were extremely well attended; the service was very moving, with tributes by Olaf Lemke and Paul's son, Anthony; and was presided over by Pastor Wolfgang Kruse and the Rev. Michael Forrer.

At the National Gallery Nick Penny, Paul's son, Andrew, and Bill Adair also spoke. It was a poignant occasion; Paul will be very greatly missed.
